He has been waiting for this day for what seems like FOREVER. The countdown began in January and he would remind me of how many more days we had until his birthday. So cute. We had originally planned to surprise our kids with a cruise to celebrate both Marc and Marchals birthday but with us planning on visiting home (West Virginia and Alabama) this summer and possibly moving into a bigger home we thought we would save the money and be "wise" parents. We don't usually have birthday parties but choose to have a day of fun or go on a trip. For Hannah's birthday we went to the coast and for Marchal's he had a choice of visiting the Zoo, going to the inside water park or Skyhigh(which is an inside trampoline room-SUPER FUN). He instantly said Skyhigh. He didn't care if he got presents he just wanted everyone to go with him. He is such a sweet little man. We had planned to wake him up to his favorite and birthday tradition of pancakes then Marc and him would go to hit some golf balls(Marchal won a free visit to the driving range this summer) and then head to SkyHigh. Well when we woke up it was raining. ARG. It has not rained here in what seems weeks. Oh well, we still had the pancakes and then had some Lego fun and Marchal got a special delivery.
Some of his friends bank in Alabama sent him some balloons with gummy worms. He was so excited especially when the lady let "HIM" sign for them and not me. I told him that was a very nice thing for him to do esp since they had to pay extra to have them delivered. He replied with " I know mom, I love it".
Once we were all ready we headed to the main attraction. I had intentions on jumping myself but when I found out I could not take camera I was out. lol. I mean I can't leave my baby out there all alone and not be able to capture special moments. They had an area to just jump from trampoline to trampoline onto walls and back. They had a huge foam pit you jumped into and also a dodge ball area. I told Marc it would be a fun date night for us in the future. (smile).
After we were done and everyone was exhausted and faces were red we headed to eat lunch/dinner. Marc had seen a place called " John's Incredible Pizza" and we choose to eat there. Little did we know it was a pizza buffet, games, rides and prize center. When we walked in Marchal's eyes were as wide as I had ever seen them so there was no turning back. We bought the smallest combo for food and tokens and headed off to eat way more than we needed. They had pizza, salad, baked potatoes, soup, pasta, drinks, desserts galore and the thing that caused our kids to squeal was ........ unlimited ICEE machine. lol. Marchal was walking around the buffet saying "this is the best birthday ever"! Which of course made our hearts swell with happiness but his main reason for saying that is because Marchal loves buffets(lol) he for once gets to pick what he wants to eat instead of having to eat what is put in front of him. I just laughed.
We then headed to have some fun with games, rides and prizes. Marchal went to traded in his tickets and made sure to get his sister something too. He earned bonus points for that one. (more on bonus points in a later post).
We had to head home because Hannah had Girl Scouts , BOO! Once we got home Marchal ran to his favorite and our neighbors to ask them if they wanted to come help celebrate his birthday with cake . They of course said yes with a gift in hand and then we once again ate more food. (stomach too stuffed already). Thankfully my friend asked to take and bring Hannah back from her meeting so we didn't have to do anything else the rest of the night except pile on the couch with MArchal and watch a movie. After about 30 min's he was PAST OUT. SCORE.
So all in all he had a great birthday I would say. Next Birthday to celebrate is Mr. Huchette. Can't wait to see what comes our way.

Great Birthday Cake :)
