Pumpkin time

We met up with our community group at church to have our Harvest Party.  It was called a harvest party because the pumpkins we used (the little ones atleast) were from our garden we planted this spring.  There were a few little ones so we thought painting would be better than carving.  No one wants to see a one year old holding a sharp object.  They had fun painting and making a HUGE mess, mostly little hands covered in paint.  The kids enjoyed playing together and getting to know each other better.  At one point it was funny how the girls snuck upstairs to play in the play room while the boys were running around downstairs being typical wild boys.
Sadly, Hannah wanted to display her pumpkin on our front porch and it rained that night so hers got a cleaning.  Marchal chose to take his to school with a book about fall since they are learning about fall right now.
We are looking forward to carving our big pumpkins this week.  My favorite part of October, carving pumpkins and roasting the seeds.
