This Christmas was so special to us. I was in the spirit in October, watching movies on TV instead of the scary ones most people watch in the Halloween season. Hannah kept mentioning she was so excited for Christmas this year and didn't know why. I was too and didn't know why either. There was something in the air.
We started out the season with getting our tree from our traditional spot. The kids were excited to pick the best tree. It took quite awhile since we all had picked what we thought was the best. lol. With the tree finally home we decorated it with Christmas music playing. You can't decorate a tree with out music. Right?
A few weeks later we had a few friends over and we had dinner and played our version of "Christmas Minute to win it". So fun. We had a marsh mellow toss, hang the ornament on the wire, and stack the cups with one hand.
Our church challenged us to "Be Christmas" this year. Marc's Men's group sponsored a wonderful family and we had a yummy Mexican Brunch where the dad of the family made us homemade tamales. Delish! After that we took lunch to the neonatal nurses at the hospital near bye.
We ended our Christmas season with dinner at a dear friends house. We ate dinner, ate homemade pies galore and decorated Christmas cookies for Santa. Santa's cookies for our house never made it home. lol. We tucked the kids in their beds. Their tradition is to sleep in the same room together so they can both get up at the same time to rush downstairs to see what was under the tree. Hannahs big gift was an Ipod touch, dock station, and a gift card for music. Marchal's big gift was a new bike/helmet, Lego ninjau set and a BB gun. They were ecstatic and we were so happy to see their smiles. We spent the rest of the day resting and enjoying our amazing family.
