Marcs' men's group choose to go to Nicaragua this January to help build and expand a school for an orphanage and also help out in the feeding center there. They worked tirelessly to raise money and thankfully they met their goal and were all able to attend. The church prayed as a whole before their trip to ask for safe passage and for God's will to happen through their service. It was a proud moment for me and the kids.
The kids got into the act also. Hannah and Marchal both sent things with there dad to give to the kids there. It was so sweet when they each brought their things into the room.
The guys had such a wonderful experience while there. They each were able to tell their story, serve meals, work their tales off at the school building and found time to have some fun with the little ones. Marc connected with a young girl age 10 while he was there. It was hard for him to leave her there. He came back with a open heart towards adoption and for me it was an answer to prayer. Something I I have heard God tell me would be part of my journey for some time now. We choose as a family to send some care packages to our new friend in Nicaragua. Hopefully in the near future we ca all go back and meet her in person
