Our very first week here in Newberg was a great one. We unpacked the truck and finally got on the road to an organized life once more. It had been so long since we have had all of our stuff in one place and be able to find it is a gift in its self. We registered the kids for their school. Hannah and Marchal will be attending the same school. We were told Marchal would be attending afternoon Kindergarten and both would have late start on Wed. Which means Hannah goes to school at 9:30 and Marchal at 12:30. We found the bus stop, park, redbox(a must for this movie loving family), local super market, farmers market, etc. It has been fun finding all the cool little spots. We have a drive in, a old theater movie place, and even the library plays movies for free once a month. See I knew God wanted me to live here. (hehe). They are HUGE on recycling here. We have 3 trash cans and also have a recycle center around the corner to drop off all of our boxes from moving. They also have machines that take plastic and glass and give you money back on them. SWEET. We told the kids this is something they can do to save money for that special prize they want. We checked out a new church. It was a nice church but Marc and I felt like we wouldn't grow there spiritually bc they are at the starting point that our old church was. We have a few more on our list to check out. Being an ex-Children's Ministry Director/Administrator I have a high expectation when it comes to my kids. Well we are on week two, can't wait to update you all on how it goes.
