I have to be honestly going into new situations and not knowing what to expect make me nervous. I am a planner and like to be prepared for any situation. The time said starts at dusk and we were sure what time that meant so we showed up at 8:30 and the entire parking lot was filled up except a few spaces in the back. Thankfully the screen is high up and the parking spaces are on little mounds to help the cars be a little off the ground. We parked our car backwards, lifted the tail gate up, headed to the concession stand, set the kids up in the back and Marc and I sat in our pop up chairs and we were ready. The cool breeze was wonderful on a summer night.
As the movie time gets close they had birthday announcements followed by a tradition of everyone honking their horns instead of singing. We thought that was neat. The movie starts and 10 minutes into it the screen goes DARK. Everyone starts honking the horns again to let management know something was wrong and after 40 people walking up to the office they announce the film had a dark spot and they would let Universal know and after that the movie was perfect. The kids fell asleep close to the end and so did Marc a few times. That cool air just did it I guess so we decided to head home instead of watching the second feature, Bridesmaids. I have already seen it and it was hilarious!!!
We will for sure be back once we come home from Alabama. It was a great experience. Next time we will come earlier and bring a picnic dinner. Can't wait.
Candy in hand
Movie Time
They weren't really asleep but they acted like they were before the movie started. hehe. You can use your flash once the movie starts so this is the best I could get.
