Hannah's Birthday Trip

I think Hannah for sure had the best birthday for the year!  Not only did she get a fabulous party in Alabama two weeks before her actual birthday but, she also got a getaway trip to Newport Beach Oregon.  Marc was able to get a weekend at a great hotel right on the beach and it was both dog and kid friendly.  It had a playground, inside pool, dog walk area, volley ball area, fire pits, games, movie rentals, just about everything you needed to have a great time. When we arrived they had sand buckets, snacks, drinks, and towel buddies waiting in our rooms for us.
Once we looked through our goodies we headed to eat lunch, fly kites and run around with the dogs.  Who love the beach I think more than we do.
We then headed to the POOL!  Yes, we have tons of indoor pools here in Oregon.  lol.  One because of the rain but mostly because the breeze from coast can be COLD!
We had a great time watching Hannah do her routines, Marchal hop from the hot tub to the pool over and over and Marc making spy eyes at me.  lol.  I love my family.
After our swimming time we headed to change and get ready for the big BIRTHDAY DINNER.  They had mussels and Hannah was super pumped.  That is her favorite meal and after her having them last year for her birthday dinner it has become a tradition.  YUCK.
We told the waitress it was her birthday and she brought Hannah a piece of Cheesecake (another tradition) but I say YUM to this one. Once we were done eating our sugar treats we headed to our room to put something more warm on and run back out to get pictures of the sunset that was gorgeous.
The sunset like I said was beautiful and it was pretty cool to see the lighthouse at night.
We then headed to rent a movie, grab some goodies to eat and the kids watched a movie as mom and dad snuggled on the balcony with a warm blanket and a glass of wine listening to the waves crash.
The next day we woke up ordered room service(the kids thought this was the coolest thing) and packed up ready to hang out in downtown Newport.

After a day watching the fishermen bring in the fish, looking at sea lions, eating a delish lunch we then headed home ready to start another week.  We will be back for sure to visit Newport again.  It was a great little town.
