Meet the Teachers

After two weeks of school they had an open house for us to meet the teachers and allow the kids to show us around the school.

In Marchals tour;We found out that the red flags that he continues to get at school are really just time outs and a part of learning how to act in school. This was a relief because he would come home everyday saying he got into trouble.  We learned where the Spanish books are-lol and they aren't allowed to check those out of the library because they don't speak Spanish. We met alot of his friends and saw him give several hugs out.  He read us a story and we were super proud. He showed us how he can do some addition and subtraction. My favorite part of the whole night was when this little girl(blond of course) runs up to Marchal and says really loud HEY MARCHAL. I asked Marchal who was that and he said Kendall.  Well to make a long story short, he was getting in trouble for talking in class(this is not new to us bc we come from a very long line of talkers) when I asked him who he was talking to he told me Kendall.  I asked him if she was a blond(those of you who don't know, he has always had this infatuation with blonds) and his answer was a shyish no.  Well now we know the truth!  She is blond and very cute in deed.  lol.

Hannah's tour was a little shorter. We learned that Hannah's teacher has family from Germany and that is why she comes home with endless amounts of German history.  She also mentioned to us how they do 2 hours a day of math and she hates it.  lol.  He has a fish tank and no fish in it. And how cool the computers in her classroom are.  He bought them all ice cream sandwiches because he was proud of all the hard work they had been doing in Math in which she told him he was the coolest teacher ever.  lol.
We were also showed the coolest places to play on the playground, the gym, signed up for parent/teacher conferences and I volunteer to help with the next Jog A Thon.  All in all we were very happy with our kids teachers and really love the school they are in.
