A busy but fun weekend

We had a great weekend.  Hannah had plans with her Girl Scout troop to go camping in a huge lodge as a reward for their hard work in selling cookies last year.  With her being gone Marc and I wanted to try and spend some quality time with our little man, Marchal.

First on Friday night, Marchal had a play day with one of his friends from school so Marc and I could have some couple time.  On Saturday we choose to grab some yummy pizza(a family favorite) and play a few video games.  Then we headed downtown Newberg to walk around. We found a great little video game store like Game stop but locally owned.  We went into the pet store for what felt like an hour.  We played with cats, looked at lizards, turtles, talked to the birds, picked out fish we wished we had.  If we had land and a bigger house we would have a pet store at home.  lol.

Finally it was time for the main attraction, War Horse.  We knew when we saw the preview we would go see it.  It was one of the best movies i have seen in a very long time.  The whole movie was written for the horses view.  And helped you see every side of World War I.  Loved it!  And you cant beat that we saw it at our favorite theater with rocking seats, foot rests and the cheapest theater food around.  Marchal had such a busy day he crashed at the end of the movie and even walked up to his room and went straight to bed.  WOW.  He was exhausted.

We continued the special treatment on Sunday, we got up went to church and he was able to pick out his favorite sweet treat, A chocolate log doughnut.  And because he was so good at church he was rewarded with two dollars to pick something out at the dollar tree.  One he gave his sister when we picked her up from camping.  How sweet to share his money!
We had a great weekend.  Next weekend, Hannah has a spend the night birthday party to attend and Marchal has his first spend the night guest over.  I will for sure keep you posted.
