Most of you know that New Year's when you have kids is so different then when you don't. Unless you get a babysitter. Thankfully we have neighbor's that love our children like we do and they invited all of us over to have fun as we all rang in 2012.
We started out snacking way too much then the games came out. Boys against girls, in which the boys did when. My husband is a walking encyclopedia or google in his head. He remembers everything and stuff you would not even think no one would know, Marc does. So I knew when we went the boys vs girls route we were going to have a rough road. Cranium was the first game. It was so much fun as we hummed, acted out, built with play dough, and tested our IQ. Then we started a round of Minute to win it. Which was fun, but the real fun began with Just Dance 3. It was so much fun battling each other to see who the best dancer was. I do have to say the girls for sure won that one. lol. We ended the night with New year's kisses of course then fireworks. You know you are getting old when 10 minutes into the new year you head straight to bed. Which is what we did.
I am hoping 2012 is much nicer to us then 2011 was. We do have alot planned with a surprise trip for the kids, my neice may come to visit us during her spring break, a trip back to West Virginia to visit with Marc's family and possible a trip to Alabama to see mine, Hannah has a Girl Scout trip to California via train to celebrate their 100th year. And of course a few camping trips will be fit into those. I can't wait to see what will happen this year.
