A little more decorating....

Today was suppose to be a day on the couch resting from all the exercises I got yesterday(ran 2 miles and rode my bike 6 miles) but my sister in law asked me for ideas for her house because she is having some guest come over.  So off I went to the decorating world to get ideas in which I sent her then as I was sitting on my couch(my plan for the day remember) I couldn't do it.  I had the decorating bug.  So this is what I came up with.

We had bought a cabinet or bookshelf from IKEA that I love but all the stuff being out there for the world to see always bugged me.  We were thinking of moving the from the upstairs so I thought it would be perfect.   

I added some personal items on top.  The Eiffel tower is a family thing since my husbands family "Huchette" originated in France.  The picture on the wall was painted by one of my husband dearest friends that is no longer with us and the green picture frame was a gift from a friend at our 10th anniversary.

This is where I moved the IKEA piece.  I thought it would be great in our dining room. A great place to put my cook books(which I didnt have before) and a place to put all of our family shells we have gotten from our past trips to the beach.

This is a candle my momma gave me and I love it I really do but I also needed a place to put my paper towels so I took the candle out and walla I have a paper towel holder and I moved the candle to the main dining room table.  Love it.

My Christmas present from my hubby all finished and set up.  I love this piece.

Well that is only the beginning, I have plans to take my old china cabinet and move it upstairs to put books, pictures and knick knats(not sure if that is spelled correct-lol). I will post pictures soon.
