So here in Oregon we are close to the coast which is so beautiful and we have tons of tide pools filled with starfish, sea urchins, mussels, oysters along with sea lions galore. But, the water is super COLD. The only way to get in and not freeze to death is to wear a suit. When we heard from my mom we were headed to the beach in Florida, the whole house had a screaming match of excitement. I could stand in our house in Oregon and remember the sand between my toes, warm water crashing against me as I try to jump the waves, little fish bugging me to death swimming around my feet, the SUN actually giving me a tan. lol.
Two weeks after we had arrived in Alabama we headed South. The kids and I left early to stay with my long time dear friend Sarah who has two kids also. We had a great time spending the weekend with her and her family. Sarah took us to the river on Saturday and we just enjoyed sitting in our chairs, chit chatting playing catch up while watching the kids play in the water. And later that night were entertained with the kids theater night. We had a great time as I always do when I am with her.
When we left there we headed to meet up with my mom, sister and her kids. We would be there a week. Woo hoo. We had a great time collecting sand crabs, rowing in the boat, knee boarding, sandcastle building, baring me in the sand, sunbathing, playing games, watching movies, shopping, visiting the aquarium(pictures in later post-too many to narrow down to just a few-lol), more duck tape creations and bike riding.
I left that Friday to head to my little momma getaway. And can you believe they went go cart racing and ate at Chick-fil-a without me? I guess that must be my punishment. lol. For those of you wondering, we don't have a Chick-fil-a out here in Oregon. So it has become a treat if we are around one.
