5th Grade Awards

Hannah's 5th grade class had a special assembly where they passed out special awards and gave each child the chance to say goodbye to each other and to teachers/staff at their school.  This is their last year there and some of them won't see each other next year at school due to some kids going to different schools according to where they live.
Hannah received a Honor Roll certificate the day before and a Eagle Leader Certificate for being one of the school's leaders in her class.  With this honor she was able to help with crossing guard, lunch duty, and pretty much any errand or extra help the school needed.  You had to have, if I remember correctly 5 teachers/elders sign your form.  So not every student can become one.
When the awards were all passed out and the goodbye's were given the tears started rolling.  Kids, parents, teachers all crying.  Which I can understand because most of them had been going to school together since Kindergarten.  Something our kids did before we left Alabama.  Hannah had girls crying all around her and was so sweet giving hugs and tried to make them stop and laugh.  She kept saying she wished she was emotional and I reminded her she was like me and didnt cry but she dealt with her sadness by being silly.  Which is what I love about her!  Funny thing is they have 3 more days of school.  lol.  Tomorrow they have field day where they will play all kinds of super fun water games, and Friday she gets to shoot her rocket(more on that later) and also they have their end of the year assembly.
Either way she had a great year this year.  I can't wait to put together an "end of the year" post.  Until then....
