Visiting the Roloff Family Farm

We had heard the Roloff Farm was close to our house so we weren't about to lose out on the opportunity to visit it.  Especially during Pumpkin Season.  Pumpkins are my absolute favorite along with Sunflowers.
As we pulled in to pay the parking fee we could hear Matt Roloff on the walkie talkie and the excitement started.  Walking into the pumpkin patch we saw him driving around and I had to inform Hannah(who was also super excited) to stop pointing and saying "there HE is".  We went on a wagon tour where we met Matt's Parents, got to walk through the little town they built, and saw the rest of the farm.
They had a map where they ask everyone who is from a different part of the country to sign and of course we signed and circled where we were from.  ALABAMA. They said they didn't have anyone from Alabama on their map yet so we were the first. After our ride we then headed to the pony rides and petting zoo.  I fell in love with the little sheep they had there.  It was adorable.
Then it was TIME. Time for Pumpkins!  Woo Hoo. I could literally just sit in the field and be content.  I wish I could have afforded to buy a whole wagon full and cover our porch with them.  One day I will have my own pumpkin garden. They had a lot of big ones but the Huchette kids were on the lookout for the BIGGEST one.  And we found it.  At least that is what we were told at the time we weighed it.  52lbs.  Whew.  Once we found our family pumpkin the kids headed to the soccer pumpkin game where Jacob was sitting helping the little ones.  Hannah said he was cuter in person than on TV and I think had a little crush.  We tried to get her to take her picture with him but she refused and turned bright red.  He seemed to be impressed with her soccer kick though.

Next, face painting and then we wanted to meet Momma Roloff, Amy. We at first thought the line we saw was a group waiting to meet up to leave but then we saw her walk up ,talk to people and the picture taking began.  She was super nice and down to earth and told us she had been to Alabama several times and liked it.  When she heard we had just moved to Oregon she even asked Hannah how she was doing with all the change and you could see her teacher side come out of her.  Marchal was not interested in the picture taking and was running around jumping over pumpkins and ended up walking up to us right as we were about to walk off and she asked if he would take a picture with her and he refused and was playing shy.  lol.  That ended our wonderful time at the Roloff farm.  Can't wait until next year!
Not sure where Molly and Zack were. We didn't see them all day.  (Sad Face)
