Thanksgiving!

This year was the first time we would be having Thanksgiving with just our family.  Marc and I would cook the entire meal ourselves.  We always lived around family our whole lives and we had the privilege of having our parents cook our feast.  Well, this year my mom was on a cruise with my niece and Marc's mom was too far away.  We were excited to try and cook up our family favorites and see how they turned out.

I started the day before getting things put together and ready to pop in the oven.  We cooked a ham so we didn't have to really cook all day.  Marc went for a workout that morning and I started the cooking process and when he returned he finished up the ham.  Hannah made out conversation questions for each of us to ask during our dinner.  The table was set and it was time for our Southern Thanksgiving Dinner.  Prayer was said and then the kids had to say cheers-lol.  Something they have always done for some reason.  Plates were filled and the questions were asked.  I loved this idea because it made the dinner last longer then 10mins of people shoving their faces and off to napville.

After we completely gorged ourselves we called our family to wish them a happy day and send some love their way.  The kids had fun joking with Nana.  I feel so sorry for you Nana sometimes but I know you are used to it because he is your son.  lol.  We talked to my brother and caught up with each other and tried to call my sister but evidently she was still chowing down with her inlaws.

Next we played charades and hide n go seek.  A family favorite.  We all put two things for people to act out in a bowl and took turns.  We had some funny moments when Hannah pulled out vampire and her way to act it out was to jump off the table and slide across the couch.  hehe.  We laughed so hard because we had no idea what she was doing.  lol.  Then Marchal was a snake ans sliding across the floor with is legs spread wide apart and we all know snakes don't have legs.  Great fun.  Hide-n-seek is especially fun for me because they can never seem to find me and I get some alone time.  jk. Once we were done with game time we ran upstairs to see who would win the "putting their pj's on" game and hopped on the couch to watch Captain America.
We had a great time.  Went to bed sick because of all the food I ate but for sure a day to go down to remember.
We sure hope you had a wonderfully blessed day too.
